Fourth day out of Tasmania, returning to Murwillumbah, today from Yarrawonga to Mildura
Yesterday morning I was freezing in the mountains, today I am burning in the desert, but you would not believe it looking the pictures, because the Murray river has transformed this desert into a paradise where everything grows, fruits, vegetables, flowers of all kinds, it is an impressive achievement on the part of the Australian people and I am sure it translates into prosperity for this area and the whole country.
Today I would be able to insert pictures from all kinds of plantations or orchards or vinyeards, therefore I better show you something about the river. I saw part of it in Echuca one of the historic cities along the water and my motel is just across the street from this waterway in Mildura.
Tomorrow I will travel to Broken Hill a mining town. Just out of Mildura in Wentworth , the Murray and the Darling rivers join and there is an important lock that regulate their flow to keep a steady stream indispensable for irrigation specially in the times of drought with low rivers levels, I will visit the area.
