An extra day in Smithon to drive the Tarkine loop.

Cyclone Marcus which this week hit Darwin in the North of Australia very hard, has been interfering with my trip, by causing sustained rains and severe wind gusts, this morning some forecasts were calling for winds up to 150 km which should deter any motorcyclist, however they were supposed to abate as the day went by, I finally left the Hotel around 10:30 am, the rain had not stopped, and I drove toward Marrawah, and then following the coast to Arthur River, and beyond, the wind was manageable, but the rain never improved the situation, I could not take pictures and the vision was limited, therefore I decided to come back to the hotel around 2 pm, and have a pizza.
Tomorrow I have booked a room in a Motel in Brunie and I will include in my route the loop of the Tarkine approaching it from the North instead that from the West.
The weather is forecasted as more cooperative tomorrow.

Facade of the old fashioned General store in Marrawah
One vehicle bridge over the Arthur River
Closed attraction on the Tarkine loop
Rain, rain, all the time.
